Month of August 2012

On August 8th Gabby started her first day of Pre-K. She was so excited. This past week was her first full week and she received excellent behavior marks. Brent and I started having date night once a month so I thought I would post our photo. This past Saturday Gabby started Ballet. To my surprise she loved it. Since she is so very competitive and seems to be more of the athletic type we didn't think she would enjoy it. Last week we painted our laundry room, put shelves, hooks and some new photos up.

Happy Easter!

Since we live pretty far from our extended family we just simply hung out at the house today. We woke up early to see that the Easter Bunny had come. Last night it took Gabby forever to fall asleep, she kept looking out the window for the Easter Bunny.

Last night we colored eggs and today we went to church, had a nice big meal, played with water guns, made smores (courtesy of Granna) and had an Easter egg hunt.

I think my Gabby looked so very beautiful this morning in her new Easter dress and her curly hair.

Spring Cleaning

This spring we decided to paint our kitchen table, chairs and recover the chairs in coordinating fabric. It is a little out of the ordinary, but I love it!!!

We also planted lot of new flowers in our front yard. It looks really great. Gabby loves to help us do things in the yard.

Crazy Hair Day

A few weeks back the had crazy hair day at school. It was pretty hard to get her hair to look much more crazy than it usually does. It seems as if we may have found a way.

Gabby's 1st Soccer Season

This is Gabby's first year playing soccer. She loves it, and she is actually pretty good. Everything she does is a competition. Since they are only 4 they don't play real games, but Gabby seems to think she is still always trying to win. I can't wait to see how she is in a real game. I think they start doing that next year.

What we Have been up to

Well we have kept pretty busy since my last post. But most of the people who keep up with us on her know what we have been doing. Below are a few highlights.

November - I turned 33 yrs old and the Stine clan came to visit for Thanksgiving.
December - We went down to Tallahassee and spent time with all of our family.
January - Jessica, Mesa and Emily came to visit
February - The Woods came to visit. We went to the Tennessee Aquarium

This post is about our Valentines. This is the first year Gabby is starting to get holidays. On Valentines Day she woke up and wanted to put the shirt I made her on first thing, before she even went down stairs. Then she ate some of her breakfast and decided that she should stand at the door with the bag of Valentines for her classmates. She just couldn't wait to have her Valentine's Party.

When I picked her up her and I decided to have a Valentine's Party for our Daddy/Brent. We had a heart shaped pizza, love notes, balloons, streamers, candles and a banner that we made. We even blind folded him as he came in the door. It made his day, but made Gabby's day even more.

Halloween 2011

Spiderman.............do I need to say anything else. Yes, Gabby wanted to be spiderman with muscles this year. I couldn't talk her into being anything else. She is a very strong willed kid, when she sets her mind to something you aren't going to be able to change it. I post a few pictures. One of her and her best friend Claire, one of her and Brent, and one of some of the neighborhood kids at the neighborhood Halloween party.

2011 Pumpkin Patch

Two weeks ago my parents came to visit. It was a crazy weekend. That Friday afternoon Brent was in a small finder bender. He is fine but the car was messed up, so we had to get him a new car. I love his new car. On Saturday, we went to the pumpkin patch. We always have a good time there because you get to take a hay ride to go pick the pumpkins off the vine, feed the farm animals and ride horses. We always have a really good time. I loved having my parents here.

Public Safety Day

A few weeks ago was the Paulding County public safety day at the local airport. She saw planes, fire trucks, motorcycles, police dogs and a helicopter. Gabby's favorite part was when she was able to get in the ring and fight some kid. Pretty typical of her.

Princess

Although Gabby is for sure a "tom boy" she still loves all the girl stuff.

Our Family

Just thought I would post a picture of all of us since the photo are normally of Gabby. It isn't the greatest photo but we had to send one to school for her family tree.

Labor Day Weekend

As usual I am behind on posting pictures. The Labor Day weekend Gabby's twin came to stay, j/k actually the Woods all came to stay but Campbell looks like he could be her twin. We all went to Stone Mountain. We got to ride the train, play on their big playground and see a 3D movie. Gabby does not like 3D movies, when the water sprayed on her she freaked out.

A Trip From The Leys

At the beginning of August my friend Carrie came to visit with her daughter Phoenix and son Zen. While they were here we went to the Atlanta Children's Museum which is a great place for kids their age.

Sand Box

Gabby has really enjoyed her Sandbox over the summer. I was quite hot most days so we had to go out really early in the morning.

July Weekend in Tally

The weekend in July was with only Brent and Gabby to spend time with his side of the family. They had a good time visiting with everyone. On Friday, Gabby was able to go fishing for the first time. While they were out of town I had the weekend to myself. On Friday I went out to dinner with a bunch of girl friends. Saturday I locked my self out of the house and went and had a pedicure with another friend. I was a great weekend. But by Monday I was ready to see Brent and Gabby again.

June Trip To Tally

In June you all know that we came down for the weekend to celebrate Ethan's birthday. We had a good time hanging out with the Stine side of the family. On Friday we went to the Jr. Museum and saw the funniest goat ever, plus we got to see the bear up close.

Father's Day Weekend Part 2

Father's Day Weekend

I know it has been a while since I posted anything so I have a few months to catch up on things. As expected you all know that I haven't taken many photos but I will make post of what I can.

For Father's Day weekend we kept Campbell while Bryce and Ed spent the weekend in Atlanta. We had a good time with him. We think that he Gabby look the most alike of all the cousins.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend our community pool opened. Since then we have been everyday. Gabby is swimming like a fish. She loves it. We bought her some goggles and she is just swimming all over the place. The only scary part is when she just runs and jumps in the deep end. Anyways, Brent's dad, stepmom and Grandmas came to stay with us for the weekend. We really enjoyed having them. We cookout on Saturday, Sunday they went to church with us and the rest of the time we just hung out and went swimming. Thanks for the visit Brannings!

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's day I got my hair highlighted. I really love it.
