A Halloween Celebration
Our Halloween Celebration started last Saturday. I took Gabby to the communty festival.
On Sunday our neighborhood had a community get-to-gether. The kids hunted bones, decorated cupcakes and had a great time playing together.
On Friday Gabby's school had a celebration. I let her wear her costume. She had to be the cutest cat you have ever seen.
On Saturday, we had a few couple over with there kids for dinner. After dinner we all went trick-or-treating.
Tonight, we are just going to stay home...Gabby doens't need anymore candy.

A weekend with Granna and Pappa
Last weekend my parents came in town. They came a little early and surprised Gabby on Thursday night. We had a good time having them here. Friday they picked Gabby up from school early, she thought she was the most special kid ever (she is. On Saturday, we went to Medieval Times. It was so cool, we were on the red team. Gabby was amazed the entire time, she hardly ate anything. Sunday we Gabby wanted to take them to see the train. She loves to go sit and watch the trains. Gabby is still to this weekend making us keep a spot reserved at the dinner table for Granna and Pappa.

Gymnastics
Three weeks ago Gabby started taking Gymnastics. She has been having lots of fun doing it. We put her in the 3 year old class so it would be more of a challenge. The only other classes that they had was for a Mommy and Me class with 1 and 2 year olds. I will try to get some photos of her in her leotard. It is very cute.

The Poo Poo Dance
The past couple days Gabby has started going #2 in the potty. I am so excited we made up the poo poo dance.
The Last Weekend in September
This past weekend Gabby had a play date with her friend Claire. While she was at Claire's house Brent and I set up her new room. We moved her to a new room with a big girl bed. It is done in pink, brown and white. When she got back we walked in her new room and she loved it. She has been sleeping so well in there.
Saturday night Gabby and I went to a drive in movie that our work was doing. We gave Brent the night off to just watch some football. So, while we were at our girl's night out Gabby got lots of silly bands, glow sticks and ice cream. We had a really good time.
Sunday morning we decided to skip church since the weather was really bad. Gabby wanted to go out and watch the rain. So, I put her rocking chair out and she requested a blanket. She is 2 going on 80.

What a hair day!
Yesturday we stayed at home most of the day. Good thing because Gabby was having a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Hair Day (by the way that is one of her favorite books). Most days Gabby's hair looks crazy but this day it was extreme. I wish it would decide if it wants to be curly or straight. She decided she wanted to wear my hair band which didn't help it at all!
Potty Success
I am so excited last Monday we sent Gabby to school with only one diaper for nap time. She wore panties the rest of the day. To my surprise when I picked her up she hadn't had any accidents. The rest of the week she successfully went Pee pee but she hasn't quite gotten the Poo down. That hopefully will be coming soon. I am so glad to not be changing diapers all day anymore. So, on Monday when I picked Gabby up I took her to pick out a cupcake for doing so well.
Addison's 3rd Birthday Party
Labor Day Weekend
The Woods were in town for a soccer tournament on Labor Day weekend. So, on Saturday we were able to go watch Syvannah's soccer game. On Sunday, our church had church at the park with a picnic and bouncy house. Gabby had a great time. That night the Wood's came back over to hang out at the pool and BBQ. On Monday, we all went to a local water park called Sunny Valley Beach. It was kind of small but perfect for the kids. We had a really great time having everyone stay with us. We miss hanging out with our family. So, when they are in town we like to do as much with them as possible. Believe it or not, I didn't get any pictures of the family. So who is shocked......jk
Miniature Animal Farm
The Friday before Labor Day I took off work to take Gabby to the miniature animal farm with some of our friends from the neighborhood. It was a neat place since everything was the same size she was. Although she was scared most of the time. The kids were able to go in with the animals and feed them. I guess Gabby didn't like the fact that they could look her straight in the face.

August
I just realized that I hadn't posted anything for the entire month of August. So, here goes. The first weekend in August Brent and Gabby went to Tally to visit family. Which means.......mommy had the whole weekend to herself. The first two day were great, but by day three I missed Brent and Gabby.
The other weekends we have been mostly hanging around Dallas. We have met some new people so we had a few birthday parties to go to. Last weekend we invited some friends from work over for a day at the pool, dinner and a late night of poker. At the beginning of the month 3 other ladies and I started walking the neighborhood twice a week. It has been nice to get to know them better and get some exercise in. One thing we did do this month was try to take Gabby skating. Needless to say it was a flop. Brent and I couldn't stop laughing at how funny Gabby looked. It didn't last long, Gabby couldn't stay on her feet.
The best thing that has happened this month is Gabby has decided she was ready to start using the potty. She really only goes pee right now, but you have to start somewhere. She has only had one accident. We are so proud of our little girl. Now Brent and I can't keep eating her potty M&Ms since she really has earned them lately.

Mark Your Calendars
For all of you who didn't know, as of the 1st week in May Gabby decided she no longer would take a bath. We tried everything to get her in, nothing worked. We were either having to wipe her down each night or hose her down outside. This was until July 3rd. I was doing the normal having Gabby hold her head over the tub so I could wash her hair. Meanwhile I filled the tub up with about an inch of water. Then I asked her if she would please please just stand in the water so I could wash her off. She then proceeded to sit down and say "Mommy I like the bath". It was the craziest thing. Two months of constant battles and she just decided one day she likes it. Is all I do is thank God I have a clean kid again.
Saturday's Package
On Saturday Gabby got a package in the mail from Aunt Rebecca and Aunt Rachel. She loves getting packages. It had three packs of silly bands and some bath crayons. Thank you Aunt Rebecca and Aunt Rachel we love you.
What We Have Been Up To
The past couple weeks we pretty much have just hung around the house. We became motivated to paint our dining room and Gabby's play room. So, with the painting, I recovered the dining room chairs, we made a storage bench for the play room, I made a cushion for it and put up curtains. I think it looks so good. I will try to put up before and after photos soon. We just have a few more things to hang. Below are a few photos of Gabby.

The Pool Opens
Our community pool opened a few weeks ago. We have been spending alot of time there. Gabby doesn't remember all of her swim moves from last year but is starting to catch back on. Here is a photo of her and her friend Sarah at the opening weekend of the pool. After swimming they decided to play with Gabby's new bubble machine, courtesy of Granna and Pappa.

We visited the beach Tuesday night and the the water scared Gabby. After that she wouldn't have anything to do with the beach. Here is a video of us trying to capture it.
